2. The Ten Commandments
📖 Scripture: Book of Exodus 20:1–17
The Ten Commandments were given by God to Moses on Mount Sinai to guide how people should live.
The Ten Commandments (short form)
- Worship only God.
- Do not make idols.
- Do not misuse God's name.
- Keep the Sabbath day holy.
- Honor your father and mother.
- Do not murder.
- Do not commit adultery.
- Do not steal.
- Do not lie.
- Do not covet what belongs to others.
Important Points
- The first four commandments focus on loving God.
- The last six focus on loving others.
- They form the moral foundation for godly living.
