These notes are for the encouragement of the study of God's word daily, (only to be used/read with your Bible.) Not a Bible replacement.

Chapter 1: This chapter opens with a declaration of God's wrath against Nineveh, the capital city of Assyria, for its cruel treatment of Israel. Nahum declares that God is a jealous and avenging God who will not allow the wicked to go unpunished. Despite the coming destruction, Nahum offers a word of comfort to Judah, assuring them that God will protect them.
Chapter 2: This chapter describes the impending destruction of Nineveh in vivid detail. Nahum describes the armies that will attack the city, including chariots, horses, and spears. He also describes the city's defenses, which will be useless against the overwhelming force of God's judgment. Nahum declares that Nineveh will be plundered and left in ruins.
Chapter 3: In this chapter, Nahum describes the reasons for Nineveh's destruction. He accuses the city of being full of lies, violence, and idolatry. Nahum points out that despite the city's wealth and power, it will be destroyed because of its wickedness. He predicts that the city will be overrun by an invading army, and its leaders will be taken captive.
In summary, the Book of Nahum is a prophecy of the coming destruction of Nineveh, a city that had been a powerful and oppressive enemy of Israel. Nahum declares that God will bring judgment upon the city because of its wickedness, and he offers a word of comfort to Israel, assuring them that God will protect them.
